Evidence can be broadly defined as anything presented to support an assertion. With such a broad range of evidence available it becomes difficult to determine the meaning of any particular piece of evidence, especially in medicine. When evaluating scientific evidence, including and especially with the so called “golden” standard of “randomized double blind trial” evidence which the H.M. Institute considers to be one of the biggest scientific flaws in the medical universe, we must be dig deep and ask important questions as to what is revenant ? What is reliable ? How can we best draw reliable conclusions from evidence? How can evidence be interpreted with some semblance of truthfulness. How does new evidence fit into, or change, one’s existing coherent concepts of science and medicine ? etc
The objectives of this workshop is to learn to assess the qualityof evidence, to evaluate various formsof evidence, to weight the value of one particular piece of evidence against another, to assess what each piece of evidence reveals about the observer, and what is being observed, to gain a stronger, deeper, more accurate, and more coherent understanding of medical and scientific reality, to better understand the interplay among evidence, what is called the constellation of circumstances, to distinguish between different layers of evidence, to identify manufactured controversies and corporate self-serving bullshit.
For all of those who want to be well versed on evaluating the relevant scientific and medical evidence in order to better understand the medical and scientific realms of reality, write us a note and once we get enough interest, we may organize a webinar. Thank you.
